Hey there!
It's time for my first actual blog post ✷
Yeah I'm still working on the page and the layout.... But I turned 25 this month and decided to make a post regarding my current thoughts about it
Maybe someone will read it and feel inspired. Maybe someone will read it and hate the life I'm creating for myself. But at the end of the day it doesn't matter what someone else is thinking. Simply because it's my life and I can do whatever I want ❤
A quarter of a century. I still remember being 14, a time where I thought I wouldn't live until my twenties. I'm so glad that things changed since than... right now I'm sitting here on a early saturday morning, drinking tea and eating a pastry from the bakery. Later I will get ready, pick up some second hand vintage suitcases, go to a work event. In the evening my fiance and I will visit the local funfair. Life seems pretty good right now.
But is this the life I imagined? Most definitly now! Back in 2019, I just turned 18 and started my last year of highschool, I thought after graduation I would move to a big city, study there, go on parties, travel the world. Some of it happpened and most things didn't.
Y'all probably remember Covid just as well as I do. What it changed in my life? Well I didn't have a proper graduation, I moved to a different city to go to college there. Moving and getting to know new people in a pandamic? Not really. It was a lonely time and looking back I'm so glad that my boyfriend and I were in this together. otherwise I would have gone completely crazy haha.
Anyways... now it's the big 2026 ❤I finished college two years ago, got my degree in social work and now I'm working in early childhood education (another thing that I didn't expect). We moved from a town with 300.000+ people to a small town with around 20.000 people. Most of them are at least in their 40s, when you walk around ypu could think that barely anyone under the age of 60 lives here! But honestly? I kinda enjoy it. It's a calm place, the stores have a break around midday, there is less stress. And a big plus point: you're super close to nature. One of the biggest rivers of germany is just 30 steps away from my door. It takes me 15 by foot to be surrounded by fields and we have beautiful forests nearby. Never ever have I felt this calm before.
I spend my days working, crafting, spending time with friends and family. Sometimes I nerd out about a new topic (my favs this year: DnD, this blog, Pokemon), completly focus on a certain task (currently: planning a wedding??) or do nothing except relax for days. Spending the nights curled up on our couch, with my fiance and our cat, bingewatching shows or playing boardgames. Like I said, it's not like I used to imagine my future as a young adult. But I feel like this is the life I was supposed to live. Calm, cozy and filled with love.
I'm really excited to see what life still has in store for me. I wonder how different my life will be in 1,5 or 10 years from now. But no matter what, I know it will be good. Simply because I deserve good things to happen.
XOXO Hannah
